Ty the Tasmanian Tiger received positive reviews from critics, most of whom praised the gameplay and graphics and drew favorable comparisons to the Crash Bandicoot series. The game sold over one million copies worldwide. Two sequels were produced, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue and Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3: Night of the Quinkan. }
