- (35671)_1998_SN165 abstract "(35671) 1998 SN165, also written as (35671) 1998 SN165, is a trans-Neptunian object. It was discovered on September 23, 1998 by A. Gleason at Steward Observatory. It was originally classified as a plutino with a 2:3 mean motion resonance with Neptune. In August 2001 it was still the largest plutino, other than Pluto and Charon, so far identified. But later plutino discoveries, such as 38628 Huya, 28978 Ixion, and 90482 Orcus are larger. However, it is no longer classified as a plutino. With a low albedo of 0.04 and an absolute magnitude of 5.8, 1998 SN165 is a possible dwarf planet. Mike Brown's website lists it as a probable dwarf planet due to its measured diameter. The newest diameter estimate is 393+39−38 km.".
