- 1973_Aeroflot_Tu-154_crash abstract "1973 Aeroflot Tu-154 crash happened in Prague on February 19 when Aeroflot flight Su-141 was landing. The Tu-154 plane crashed half a kilometer from runway 25 (today's 24) of Prague Ruzyně Airport. Most of the passengers survived the crash but many died in flames of following fire. The rescue units acted very disorganizedly. Altogether 66 people died out of 100 passengers and crew members.A cause of incident was not officially determined. One of theory told about a wind-shear, another that the pilots wrongly set a horizontal stabiliser. Investigation of the accident also showed that controlling of the stabilizers was complicated. It was solved when Tu-154 aircraft were modernized to Tu-154A.".
