An elderly woman in İnegöl suffered a heart attack in the immediate aftermath of the tremor, and was later confirmed dead. In Simav, one person was killed after being struck by a concrete block. The earthquake was succeeded by more than 450 weak aftershocks; the strongest registered at a magnitude of 4.6.".
