He was the lead singer and guitarist, as well as the co-songwriter and co-producer of The Mountaineers. He is also working with new musicians in Liverpool, including musicians/visual artists Emily Lansley and Chiz Turnross.He also plays with the band Melodie du Kronk, and is an occasional member of improvisational synth-jazz group Zukanican and its spin-off project Zukazeit, featuring Harry Sumnall, James Pagella, Tom Sumnall and Phil Lucking.Germains is moving increasingly towards the areas of sound art, soundtrack composition and academic research in the field of cultural studies.".
