Heavy fighting took place around the military posts of Mandiala and Munawar.Ninety Indian Army transport vehicles, thirteen Artillery guns and fifteen AMX tanks in operational conditions were captured by the Pakistani army. One of the Artillery guns was awarded to the Artillery regiment of the Pakistani army who took part in battle of Chamb and named Chamb Rani by that unit.
