This plant is toxic, especially the fruit.Cultivars bred for ornamental use include the common 'Eximia', the smaller, more floriferous 'Floribunda', and 'Macrantha', which has larger flowers without white throats. This plant has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.".
