- BuzMuzik abstract "BuzMuzik was a short-lived British music television channel owned and operated by CSC Media Group. Unlike MinX, another short lived music channel by CSC, it's run lasted for two years compared to the other channel's 1 month life. It launched on 30 May 2012, the launch date having slipped back several times from an initially mooted February opening. The channel launched in the slot previously occupied by Chart Show TV +1. On Sky, this space was previously used by NME TV from November 2007 to January 2012, and MinX for six weeks prior to that. NME TV had also been broadcasting on Freesat since February 2011.BuzMuzik played a range of current and contemporary hits, and included viewer-voted selection shows, in a similar manner to the Most Requested shows on The Vault. The channel also promotes its use of social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter as a means of interacting with its audience.BuzMuzik was available from 6.00 am - 3.00 am on Sky channel 372 and Freesat channel 505, and was part of a bouquet of music channels owned by CSC Media. The BuzMuzik channel ceased broadcasts in early April 2014; the closure followed CSC's purchase in late 2013 of the similar Starz TV service on Sky 371, which had been operating as a standalone channel under the ownership of Cloud One Television Ltd following the collapse of Mushroom TV and the sale of Mushroom's other channels to All Around The World Productions. The final broadcast of the text-chat matrix on BuzMuzik was on Tuesday 1 April. Programme guide information had suggested the channel would continue broadcasting until 0600 on the morning of Thursday 3 April, but the channel was removed from the Sky and Freesat programme guides in the afternoon of Wednesday 2nd. The channel continued to transmit off-guide into the early hours of Thursday as initially scheduled. Programme guide listings seen before the channel's removal indicated that the station would be replaced by a placeholder movie/entertainment service screening one film a night at 0200 (this being the film that had aired on True Entertainment at 0100), suggesting that True Entertainment +1 was being revived, having an earlier run as a placeholder ahead of the launch of True Drama. (Additionally, overnights.tv reported that a revived True Entertainment +1 would be reporting BARB viewing data from 1 April.) It is possible that the placeholder service will be replaced with a full new service at a later date.".
