- Craig_Wilde abstract "Craig Wilde is an actor, television presenter, voice-over artist, and marketing director. He was born in 1976 in Hatfield, Doncaster. He trained as an actor at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD), now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He completed his studies in 1992. He turned first to a successful career in sales and training and then settled on a career in marketing.Wilde promoted and produced clubs from the mid-1990s and then came to the fore as a club promoter around the turn of the millennium. He became widely known for his work with the legendary Fruitfly, a club that he promoted at the Arches nightclub in Glasgow from 1999 to 2002. He became the focus of several TV documentaries, one of which was STV and Grampian's 2001 documentary This Scotland. Lanarkshire TV's 'Nightclubing' programme explored Craig's world as a promoter. Wilde also contributed to print media such as the Glasgow culture magazine Yum Yum and The Herald newspaper, as well as a semi regular guest on some of BBC Radio Scotland's shows. He ran several small successful marketing agencies before opening Bar Warhol in 2006, on Glasgow's prestigious Bath Street. It was then that Wilde moved to Newcastle to work with the city's leisure operators. Most notable was the reinvention of the now famous Powerhouse club venue, with his clubs Frixon, Popgarden and Skool Disco, plus student 'indie' nights at the Shimmy Club. He also ran his own parties at venues such as the Cockpit and Marvellous.Wilde returned to full-time performing in 2010. He currently appears daily as a live host on the Bingo Web TV Channel's 'Bingo Studio Live'. Craig is still an active trainer, public speaker. and a prolific voice over artist for radio, television and corporate clients around the world. He has also provided voice-overs for numerous TV advertisements, especially relating to bingo. In 2010, Wilde established a boutique creative marketing agency and event company called Northern Tzar and more recently developed an Entertainment Agency Eazy Entertainments, in the summer of 2012. In 2013, it was that announced Craig would return to clubland with a new superclub called the Bomb, which would feature his long term collaborators the Sharp Boys. After years from the stage, Craig returned to musical theatre with a tour of a new pantomime based on Cinderella, 'CINDERS - A New Musical' to play the part of Dame 'Cruella".In 2006, having spent over a decade in Scotland and working across Europe, Wilde began to live in Newcastle upon Tyne, with his partner musician A.J. Hall.".
