Following the cessation of hostilities, he married Yvonne (Lady Cochrane Sursock), only child of the Lebanese aristocrat, Alfred Bey Sursock, in 1946.He was Honorary Consul-General of Ireland for the Republics of Syria and the Lebanon, and Controller of Beirut Race Course.".
