On graduating with a BA Honours degree he became Music Editor of the pioneering music magazine Electronics & Music Maker. Working on other publications where he interviewed artists including Philip Glass, Depeche Mode and Duran Duran, he gave further performances at London Olympia, the London Planetarium and the Royal Festival Hall among other venues.With increasing distribution of this music in the US, he was described as 'the master synthesizer musician in the UK' (Eurock Magazine, US)Forming his own label AMP Music in 1983, Mark Jenkins went on to promote, perform or record with members of Tangerine Dream, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Van der Graaf Generator, Heldon, Can, Gong, and White Noise. His collaboration with founder member David Vorhaus as White Noise included performances at venues including the Bochum Planetarium, Germany, and the All Tomorrow's Parties festival.On 28 November 2009 Jenkins became the first British musician to perform at the Peter Harrison Planetarium at The Royal Observatory, Greenwich.In October 2010 Mark Jenkins became the first musician in the world to release a commercially available CD "The iPad Album" created entirely using the Apple iPad, with a launch performance in the Netherlands at the E-Live Festival. Appearances followed on BBC Radio 6, on "The Gadget Show" on Channel 5 TV in the UK, and the Gadget Show Live at the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre.In 2012 Taylor & Francis published a new book by Mark Jenkins, "iPad Music" at the AES Convention in San Francisco. This was the world's first publication entirely devoted to music creation on the iPad.In October 2012 Mark Jenkins was invited to perform at the 8th APosition Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia.Mark Jenkins lives in London.".
