- Mark_Sension abstract "Mark Sension (also Mark St. John) (1630 – August 12, 1693) was an early settler of Norwalk, Connecticut. He was a deputy of the Connecticut General Assembly of the Colony of Connecticut from Norwalk in the sessions of October 1672, October 1676, October 1678, and May and October 1684.He was the son of Matthias Sention, Sr. and Mary Tinker. Most records have his birth recorded at Dorchester, Massachusetts in 1630, and his christening at Coleabbey, London, England on June 10, 1633.In 1654, he moved with his family, including his father and brothers to Norwalk.Sension was made a freeman in 1664, a constable in 1669, and a deputy to the General Assembly from Norwalk in 1672. He was the constable of Norwalk at the time of his father's death, and he certified the death date of his father in 1669. At the Norwalk Town Meeting held March 5, 1657, Sension and three others were tasked with providing a good and sufficient "wolfe-pitt". He received Lot #20 in the Norwalk division of land.He is the eighth great-grandfather of George H. W. Bush.".
