The Walkway system also provides convenient access to the MTS Centre.A $180-million expansion is currently in progress to roughly double the size of the facility, and will include significant structural and electrical upgrades to the existing building. The centre will be extended south over a York Avenue parking lot, adding 340,000 square feet (32,000 m2) of exhibit space and underground parking. Construction is expected to be completed in 2015. In July 2013, the facility was rebranded as the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg after its naming rights were purchased by Royal Bank of Canada.".
