Whilst at King's Canterbury she was spotted in a production by top theatrical agent Lorraine Hamilton.Hewlett trained in acting on a scholarship at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London.Whilst there Hewlett at 18-years-old auditioned for her first feature film "Monsieur N" and secured the lead role by persuading the director (Antoine de Caunes) she would learn French fluently and could play the character from the age of 16, 18, 22 and 50. After filming finished she returned to Webber Douglas to complete her training. She was cast in her final year in the BBC'S "Canterbury Tales" playing opposite Julie Walters and Bill Nighy. Straight after, Siobhan starred in The Donmar Warehouse production of "The Philanthropist" opposite Simon Russel Beale to great acclaim.."the luscious and accomplished Araminta was played by the luscious and accomplished Siobhan Hewlett, whose electrifying stage presence would have stolen any other show" −The Independent 2007.Hewlett has been described as a character actor. "I am in no rush, everyone nowadays seems to be in such a hurry. I just want to get better at my job by working with the most inspiring directors, writers, actors and learn, be inspired, play as many different women I can for as long as I can on stage and screen and hopefully; hopefully pay my bills"She is fluent in French.
