Earle played with Vivian Gibbins at Clapton, where he won the FA Amateur Cup in 1924, before joining West Ham United. Earle featured in 273 league and cup games, scoring 58 goals, during his eight years at the Upton Park club.Stan, the son of centre-half Harry Earle, gained England Amateur caps against Ireland in 1922-23, and against Ireland and France in 1923-24. He featured for the FA XI against the Army in both seasons, and also represented the Isthmian League. He made two appearances for England, in a 3-1 victory against France on 17 May 1924 (when he played alongside Vivian Gibbins, and in a 2-0 defeat against Northern Ireland on 22 October 1927.Earle ended his career back at Clapton Orient, and went on to coach Walthamstow Avenue and manage Leyton.".
