She also served as president of the Eastern Division of the American Philosophical Association in 2001-2002.Among Held's publications are the widely used introduction to women’s studies, Women’s Realities, Women’s Choices (as co-editor; Oxford University Press, 1st edition 1983; now in its 3rd edition, 2005,) The Ethics of Care: Personal, Political and Global (Oxford University Press, 2006,) and How Terrorism is Wrong: Morality and Political Violence (Oxford University Press, 2008.)".
