- Allied_Fiber abstract "Established in 2008, Allied Fiber is the first network-neutral colocation and dark fiber company, based in New York, New York, offering a combined long-haul and multi-access point, short-haul fiber optic system coupled with network-neutral colocation facilities and direct access for wireless towers and rural broadband networks. The north segment of Allied Fiber's network includes new routes covering New York, NY to Chicago, IL; New York, NY to Ashburn, VA; and Chicago, IL to Ashburn, VA. Allied Fiber also designs, constructs and operates rack-ready regeneration and colocation facilities along routes specifically designed to support customer optoelectronics for regeneration and data traffic switching, accommodating long/short-haul and wireless backhaul providers. In April 2013, Allied Fiber began construction on the Miami, FL to Atlanta, GA segment of its planned nationwide network system. Beginning in Florida, the Miami to Jacksonville, FL segment of this route will continue north to Valdosta, GA where it will connect with 150 miles of Allied Fiber’s next-generation fiber optic system that was completed in February of 2012. The route will then continue on to Atlanta. In November 2013 Allied Fiber installed the first of their turn key, prefabricated, regeneration sites in West Palm Beach. The location was built on a slab in just 6 days and ready for service. The prefabrication design allows Allied Fiber to turn up in locations in a matter of days. This was explained at their launch event in West Palm Beach in November 2013. Allied Fiber's management team consists of Hunter Newby, Jason Cohen, J. Todd Raymond, and Anthony Escamilla. Allied Fiber created the Dark Fiber Community.".
