Papers reflect four aspects of Brooks' professional and personal life: his activities and concerns as attorney and judge; his championship of civil liberties; his efforts on behalf of international cooperation; and his personal relationships and interests. The bulk of his judicial papers consists of his opinions, findings, and rulings while he was serving on Middlesex, Mass. courts.
