Aub (1890-1973), BS, 1911, Harvard University; MD, 1914, Harvard Medical School, was Professor of Research Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an endocrinologist at the Collis P. Huntington Memorial Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Mass. Aub contributed to the development of the theory that the study of normal cells could lead to an understanding of abnormal cell growth, including cancer. Aub's research focused on lead and beryllium poisoning, traumatic shock, toxicology, industrial hygiene, metabolism, and occupational safety. He also treated several victims of the Cocoanut Grove Fire in Boston in 1942.".
