Interviews focused on respondents' interests and involvement in politics, their evaluations of President Carter's performance in office, and their preferences among the presidential candidates. Respondents were also questioned concerning their positions on the issues in the 1980 election, their reactions to the Reagan-Anderson debate, their evaluations of Reagan, Carter, and Anderson as potential presidents, and their own socio-economic status.".
