- catalog abstract "Part 1: a compilation in five books of the synodal constitutions of the province of Canterbury, from the time of archbishops Stephen Langton (d. 1228) to Henry Chichele (1362?-1443), compiled by Lyndwood and with his gloss commentaries. The work was completed in 1433 and first printed at Oxford in 1483. Regarded by some authorities as law of the Church of England. Part 2: the canons of the plenary councils of the British Isles held in 1237 and 1268, with gloss by John Acton. Edited by Josse Badius (Jodocus Badius Ascensius) and Jean Chappuis. Badius' preface to the table reprints the text of the preface to the 1504 ed. (STC 17108) which, unlike this 1506 edition was copublished by Hans de Coblencz (Joannes Confluentinus) and Hopyl. Therefore the phrase in this preface "Wolfgangus Hopil et Joannes Confluentinus (quorum ere opus exclusum est)" is inaccurate.".
