With the production of "Are You Listening," Martha Stuart Communications introduced a videotape series on "people who are endlessly talked about and rarely listened to." Stuart pioneered in the use of videotape as a development tool in several countries, and formed the Village Video Network, a program for the exchange of solutions to development problems via videotape among developing countries. Recipient of many honors, Stuart died in New York on February 15, 1985.".
