- catalog description "Poet and author Honor Moore was the eldest of nine children of Jenny McKean (1923-1973) and Paul Moore Jr. (1919-2003), an Episcopal priest and bishop who was known for his political activism. She attended Radcliffe College (BA 1967) and the Yale School of Drama (1967-1969). After Yale she moved to New York City, where she worked in theater, wrote poetry, and was active in the women’s liberation movement. After the death of her mother from cancer in 1973, Moore wrote a play in verse, Mourning Pictures. In 1977 she compiled the first collection of contemporary women's plays entitled The New Women's Theatre: Ten Plays by Contemporary American Women.".
