- 01HEJ5W7GZ7YHT3YXAPX7M38F9 abstract "A volume-surface integral equation solver is pro-posed to solve the transmission problem for systems containing domains occupied by chiral media. Homogeneous domains can be modelled by boundary element methods and inhomogenous regions can be modelled by volume element methods, resulting in a minimal number of degrees of freedom to describe the problem. This is achieved by introducing surface current densities on the boundary and contrast current densities in the bulk of the domain. The electric and magnetic fields are used as volumetric unknowns. Results for scattering by a chiral sphere are compared to the Mie-series solution, demonstrating the method’s accuracy.".
