- 01HJ16ZK5RWMJ4R9FZMW4MC1XV abstract "In this study, geophysics and GIS are applied to a better characterization of the multilayered aquifers of Sahel (Northeastern Tunisia). The well logs analysis has allowed a precise delimitation of the Mio-Plio-Quaternary reservoirs. The geometry of these reservoirs was assessed through the interpretation of the well logging (Spontaneous Potential, Gamma Ray, and Resistivity). The lithological columns restored from well logs and the interpreted well logging have allowed the elaboration using GIS of two- and three-dimensional representations visualizing the reservoir’s arrangement. Moreover, the water table was estimated and represented in the form of different maps. The combination of the results has led to a better understanding of the Sahel aquifers and to the delimitation of the favorable and unfavorable zones for the Sahel Mio-Plio-Quaternary aquifer exploitation.".
