- 01J9TW439B0PRQVYP5S3RVN80A abstract "In this paper, the variational Green function method of Kohn-Rostoker, which is one of the most frequently used approaches in the energy band theory of perfect crystals, has been extended to a crystal containing a strongly localized perturbation. A vacancy and a substitutional impurity are discussed. The main difficulties arise from the determination of the appropriate Green function. The method discussed in this paper has the advantage of being applicable for practical calculations.".
