- aggregation title "Coordinated voltage control in electrical power systems".
- aggregation abstract "Recent economical and ecological constraints and ever-increasing power consumption stresses the power system to operate closer and closer to its safety and stability limits. Under such a stressed condition, voltage instability results from the inability of reaching a sustainable operating point in a controllable way, following a major disturbance in the power system, so that the steady-state post-disturbance system bus voltages are no longer acceptable. On the other hand according to the literature many voltage collapse incidents have been caused due to uncoordinated interactions of local controllers following a major disturbance. There has been relatively little attention paid to devising a truly model-based a truly model-based coordinated voltage control of the local controllers. Therefore, this paper attempts to provide a hybrid modeling framework towards the ultimate goal of designing a well-performing system-wide feedback controller coordinating different actions taken by many different local controllers.".
