- aggregation abstract "X-ray tomography is a non-destructive technique which enables the visualization of all kinds of samples. In this way the comprehension of the materials investigated can be improved. However, pure visualization of the obtained datasets is often not sufficient for a complete understanding of the object investigated, and quantitative information is needed. Many analysis software packages exist to extract quantitative information. At the ‘Centre for X-ray Tomography’ of the Ghent University (UGCT) the 3D analysis software package Morpho+ was developed in house. Morpho+ provides several kinds of parameters relevant in various research fields, to quantify elements inside a volume. Different segmentation algorithms are implemented to ensure a correct division of the volume into separate objects. An intuitive user interface provides a user friendly environment.".
