- aggregation title "De traditie van de tableaux vivants bij de plechtige intochten in de Zuidelijke Nederlanden (1496-1635)".
- aggregation abstract "The rich tradition of tableaux vivants in the Joyous Entries in the early modern Southern Netherlands is at the center of this article. From a theatre historiographical perspective, centering on the performative character of the tableaux vivants, the authors try to to describe the prospering and vanishing of this rich urban cultural tradition. From a number of concrete examples from the late fifteenth, sixteenth and early seventeenth century, the authors state how this theatrical phenomenon is functioning as a means of theatrical communication between the sovereign and the city. It is a means of communication which, in the wearisome process of centralizing, is losing more and more its dialogizing part, degenerating into a still and stiff image to the honour and glory of sovereign and state.".
