- aggregation title "Assessing interindividual differences in emotion knowledge: exploring a GRID-based approach".
- aggregation abstract "In this chapter, it is discussed how the results of the GRID instrument can be used to contribute to the construction of valid assessment instruments for emotional intelligence, and particularly the emotion knowledge aspect of it. More specifically, the GRID can be used to identify the nature and the subfacets of the emotional knowledge construct. Emotion knowledge can be defined as knowledge about how Appraisals, Bodily reactions, Expressions, Action tendencies, and Feelings interact during an emotion process. Moreover, the GRID results can be used to score responses in terms of probabilistic relationships between the emotion components. A first version of a new emotion knowledge instrument is presented with knowledge items covering the five components and with a scoring key based on the GRID results. The application of this new instrument in an adult sample revealed a single emotion knowledge factor.".
