- aggregation title "Teleclass2.0: how to combine technological solutions in order to create an immersive learning experience?".
- aggregation abstract "Different telepresence solutions have emerged on the market. These solutions enable people, located at various locations, to have a meeting experience which closely resembles face-to-face contact. The Teleclassing project aims to enlarge the concept of telepresence towards an educational setting in which the different aspects of telepresence can be applied to auditoria and classrooms. The realisation of an immersive telepresence setting is based on the integration of different technical building blocks. The technological backbone of the environment is, however, only one part of the story. Technological components should be combined properly in order to build a remote teleclassing set-up which creates the same experience as in a traditional classroom environment. To grasp the concept of experience, the approach is threefold: an overview of existing telepresence tools and applications, an expert analysis to gauge for future visions and finally the assessment of needs and expectations of both students and teachers towards a teleclass environment. This paper will deal with the first two aspects.".
