Qualcomm has led development of this open source project, and first presented it at the Mobile World Congress 2011. The AllSeen Alliance has been created to promote some type of interoperability for the internet of things, consumer brands has signed on including LG, Sharp, Haier, Panasonic and Sears. Other members include Silicon Image, Cisco, TP-Link, Canary, doubleTwist, Fon, Harman, HTC, Lifx, Liteon, Muzzley, Sproutling and Wilocity".
