ATP works on three major program initiatives: Planting Trees at Urban and Rural Sites; Environmental Education and Advocacy; and Community Development and Poverty Reduction. The Yerevan branch manages three state-of-the-art tree nurseries, two environmental education centers, and partners with families to create tree-based micro-enterprise opportunities.ATP's mission is to assist the Armenian people in using trees to improve their standard of living and protect the environment, guided by the need to promote self-sufficiency, aid those with the fewest resources first, and conserve the indigenous ecosystem. Since 1994, ATP has planted and restored over 2,500,000 trees in Armenia and created hundreds of jobs in seasonal tree-regeneration programs.".
