He is currently the artistic director for Hell In A Handbag Productions. His campy, highly theatrical plays have made him an infamous icon within the Chicago theater scene. He has written and appeared in a transgressive adaptation of Rudolph, the Red-Hosed Reindeer, How ‘What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?’ Happened and POSEIDON! Hell In A Handbag Productions also revived Rudolph The Red Hosed Reindeer for the Christmas, 2006 season. Rudolph also ran during the holiday season at TheSpyAnts Theatre Company in Hollywood and is now in its 10th year in Chicago, Illinois.Cerda also co-founded a rock band, The Joans, dedicated to giving screen legend Joan Crawford a rock and roll voice.".
