She also holds Masters degrees in Public Administration from U.C. Davis as well as a B.S. from the University of New Mexico.In October 2008, Hamrin received a Green Power Leadership "Pioneer" award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)'s Green Power Partnership, and the U.S. Department of Energy, for a career spent "building the market for green power".".
