In the Republican primary, she was opposed by David Bolduc, whom she defeated with 73% of the vote. Libertarian candidate Peter Richter challenged Passidomo in the general election, whom she crushed, winning 79% of the vote.While in the legislature, Passidomo sponsored legislation that would expedite the foreclosure process in the state of Florida, which would "[shorten] the period of time banks can collect losses from five years to one." She also expressed support for local school districts making individual decisions about teacher compensation, specifically, merit-based pay for teachers, observing, "Our philosophy is sto give school districts the flexibility to determine who they want to reward, because they are the ones who know who the teachers are."".
