Kodad abstract "Kodad is a town & municipality and Mandal headquarters in the Nalgonda district of Andhra Pradesh, South India. It lies on the National Highway 9 between Hyderabad and Vijayawada. It is located at a distance of 176 km from Hyderabad, 100 km from Vijayawada and is 100 km (62 mi) from the Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir.Located on the border of Telangana and Coastal Andhra regions, Kodad has a mixture of Telangana and Coastal Andhra culture. The language spoken here is Telugu with a different slang, a mix between that of Telangana and Andhra regions. Before being declared as a municipality, it was the biggest Gram Panchayat in Andhra Pradesh. It is a town with great resources and high population density. It is a place of trade and education. Education system is quite strong in Kodad. It has 7 recognized engineering colleges and many inter colleges and schools. It is place with all high end resources available for a common man. Place with good water facility. Kodad is more popular for the Cement Factories and Rice mills located in and around the town.
