It derailed and fell off a bridge after colliding with boulders on the tracks, killing 14 people near Karanjadi station.In 2011, MP of Trivandrum Dr.Shashi Tharoor demanded extension of this train to Trivandrum via Kottayam but caused a lot of protests in D.K District of Karnataka.".
