He is a co-founder and editor of the film periodical kolik.film, published since 2004. In addition, he was film critic for the Viennese paper Falter for four years. His prolific output has included contributions to various books, magazines and articles as a feature writer, commentator and editor.Notable publications include Film Curatorship: Archives, Museums and the Digital Marketplace (2008), Peter Tscherkassky (2007) and Gustav Deutsch (2009). He has also been responsible for the production of several DVDs including the award-winning Entuziasm by Dziga Vertov (Edition Filmmuseum), and has collaborated with the film composer Michael Nyman on a number of projects.He frequently receives invitations to speak and present at film festivals, conferences and symposiums and to lecture in educational establishments across Europe and in the USA. In June 2011 he was appointed CEO of the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia.".
