NoCDN places no restrictions on the compression or file format, and thus is able to handle any time-based data types. Media files tend to get very large for certain applications. These become difficult to manage, edit, and synchronize. NoCDN is built so that small or large files do not change performance or difficulty in architecture and usage. It has a distributed, fault-tolerant architectureUnlike streaming servers, NoCDN solutions employ a distributed architecture, in which the data is held in a redundant manner on several servers. In this way, the system can easily scale out by adding more servers, and the failure of a server can be tolerated. Traditional CDNs have these properties, yet they are build on top of the servers and services, which in turn are built on the entertainment digital media SDKs.
