- Pavel_Exner abstract "Pavel Exner (born March 30, 1946 in Prague) is a Czech mathematical physicist. He graduated from Charles University in Prague in 1969 and obtained his CSc. (a PhD. equivalent) in 1983 from Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna. Since 2003, he is a full professor at Charles University in Prague and teaches several courses at Czech Technical University in Prague. Since 1990, he has a position in Nuclear Physics Institute of Czech Academy of Sciences. He was a director and founder of Doppler Institute for Mathematical Physics and Applied Mathematics.He was secretary (2006 – 2008) and president (2008 – 2011) of International Association of Mathematical Physics and organized the XVI. Congress on Mathematical Physics in Prague. Together with Petr Šeba he cofounded the QMath conference series.He is an author of several books, e.g. "Hilbert-Space Operators in Quantum Physics" (Springer, Dordrecht 2008). He wrote more than 200 papers, mainly focused on quantum mechanics on graphs and waveguides, scattering theory and functional integration.He has been married with Jana Wiendlova, has three daughters and three granddaughters.".
