The Coalition is co-chaired by Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.Mayor Longo was instrumental in converting an old landfill to a shopping center named City View. Despite issues of venting methane gas which accumulated over the decades, this is the first project of its kind in Ohio to be built on Landfill.He is currently married and has three children.As of 2006, he served as the Chagrin/Southeast Regional representative for the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission.In April 2009, Longo announced that he would not be running for mayor in the 2009 Mayoral contest. The residents of Garfield Heights elected their first new mayor in 26 years on November 3, 2009. The winner was former Fire Chief Victor "Vic" Collova, who then entered office in December 2009.".
