The college also boosted the number of its students going on to university last year to 85%, 14% above the national average. Students go onto many well-known London universities including King’s College, Queen Mary’s, SOAS, Goldsmith’s and Central St Martin’s School of Art, in addition to other respected English universities including Exeter, Warwick and York.Famous alumni include:Rushanara Ali – Labour MP for Bethnal Green and Bow and current Shadow Minister for Education.Ed Husain - senior fellow for Middle Eastern studies at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York.
