In February 2007, Holmes was re-appointed as the ABC Radio Grandstand announcer taking over from Simone Thurtell who moved to 1233 ABC Newcastle as drive presenter.However, in 2009 Holmes left ABC Radio Grandstand to follow husband Stan Grant who is working for CNN as a reporter in Abu Dhabi. Holmes also worked for CNN in the middle East covering social issues, business and sport.In 2011, Holmes re-joined China's English-language news channel CCTV News as an anchor, a position she also held in 2005 and 2006.".
