In 1963, it was acquired by Roger Euster.; he sold his stake to Leonard B. Moore in 1964. It remained vacant from 1965 to 1971, when it reopened with the musical Soon, book by Martin Duberman, which closed after three performances. Although it housed a number of productions in the next two years, it was turned into a children's theater in 1973. Jujamcyn acquired the theatre in 1980.
