- catalog abstract "Two letters from Couzins to Mr. Alexander on stationery of the Riggs House, Washington, D.C. The first (dated Jan. 24, 1909) describes her restlessness at having to remain in bed because of illness. In the second (Jan. 27, 1910), Couzins agrees to see Alexander despite being bedridden and complains of a "long fight" in St. Louis in which "part of a life annuity had to be given up." The letters' common month and place of origin and similar content suggest that Couzins misdated the first and that both date from 1910.".
