- catalog abstract "This survey was conducted in three waves. The respondents were chosen by a random selection of 500 phone numbers in the Cleveland Metropolitan Phone Directory. 360 numbers were actually reached at which time the interviewer asked to speak with a household member of voting age. The question content of the survey includes interest in politics and Watergate and how closely the respondent followed the events surrounding Watergate, media usage, feelings toward government and politicians, general feeling thermometers, and opinions toward those individuals involved in Watergate. The respondent was asked who was to blame for the Watergate scandal. Additional information includes voting behavior and degree of trust in government and politicians. Demographic variables include age, sex, education, and occupation. Most of the non-demographic questions were asked in each wave so as to judge respondent value changes as the hearings proceeded.".
