She worked as a stage designer in Broadway (1927-1930) and, after study at the Yale School of Drama (1931), became Executive Director of the Dance Repertory Theatre in New York City. Later she ran an interior decorating business and was business manager for photographer Lee Miller Penrose. She returned to Radcliffe to teach art (1967-1986), and every winter from 1979 taught art on the Island of Nevis in the British West Indies for which she received the Josephine Baker award (1986). Her cookery column was published in the Naragansett Times (1963-1964). Jackie Braun was married three times to Mr. Knight, Jan Vink and Konrad Braun. She died on July 20, 1990.".
