Series V, Correspondence, consists of professional and very few personal letters Mudd wrote and received, and a few photographs. Most of the correspondence is with Mudd's colleagues, including some with Alfred C. Kinsey while Mudd was working as one of five consulting editors for the Institute of Sex Research's book, Sexual Behavior in the Human Female (1953). Series VI, Reference materials, consists mainly of printed pamphlets, newsletters, reports, clippings, and reprints. Mudd used some of this material as background for particular articles. Topics include divorce, marriage counseling, and sex.".

The MCP provided marriage counseling to men and women, conducted research, and trained counselors from the U.S. and abroad. It affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1952. Mudd participated in all aspects of the MCP's work, and wrote over a hundred articles, most related to marriage counseling. She was also concerned with marriage counseling, family planning, and population control overseas. Mudd retired in 1967, but continued to be active in the medical school and increased her volunteer work for professional and other organizations.".
