- catalog abstract "This volume presents the life and activities of Pascual Orozco (1882-1915), a Mexican revolutionary leader who, after the triumph of the Mexican Revolution, rose up against Francisco Madero and recognized the coup d'état led by Victoriano Huerta and the government it imposed. The author's primary aim is to analyze General Orozco's revolutionary career and to trace the course of the 1910 revolution in Chihuahua. Orozco's contributions to the conception and growth of the revolutionary phenomenon were multiple, but his chief importance is found in his bringing together of the masses in northern Mexico -- the people who would comprise the rank and file of the revolutionary army and eventually implement its success -- and in the military leadership which he provided during the protracted series of campaigns.".
